unable to recover account

  In April 2015 I created a website on WordPress.com called champlainabicoalition.ca. As recently as December, I made updates to the site. When I went to access it yesterday, I received a message saying that the account was deleted by the authors. No attempt to recover the account has been successful, even with the activation URL. The message I receive is that there is no record of any such website. Any help is appreciated.

  Ordinarily the deletion of a WordPress.com site is a permanent action, one that can’t be undone. The site is certainly deleted, and the message at the former site is

  champlainabicoalition.wordpress.com is no longer available.

  The authors have deleted this site.

  Did you or another author delete it?

  No attempt to recover the account has been successful, even with the activation URL.

  I don’t know what you mean by “activation URL,” but WordPress.com accounts cannot be deleted. What is the username of the account?

  The message I receive is that there is no record of any such website.

  According to the site WhoIsHostingThis?, the site champlainabicoalition.ca is hosted by (or was formerly hosted by) GoDaddy.com. If that’s the case then this is the wrong forum at which to request support.

  This support forum is primarily for issues regarding WordPress.com accounts and websites, and not for issues regarding self-hosted sites such as your former site. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different versions of WordPress, with different support forums. See the WordPress.com and WordPress.org support page.

  Hi there,

  I can confirm that the domain, champlainabicoalition.ca, has never been hosted on WordPress.com. Please contact GoDaddy support directly for help regaining access to that site, as it is/was hosted on their servers.
