Unable to recover top-level admin account
-
I am trying to remove an older posting from our blog center.
The account I have on hand (which is not the one I’m logged in as currently) does not allow me to remove this particular post — presumably because it was posted by “admin.”
The responsibility for this blog has changed hands within our company several times as some people moved on and information seems to have gotten lost.
Where do I locate the top-level admin information/reset? What is process for recovering this log in information?

There is no such reset capability here at WordPress.COM.Are you actually referring to a WordPress.COM hosted blog? Please provide the URL for the blog in question in the form of an active link starting with http://

Sorry but that site is not hosted by WordPress.COM and we cannot help with it.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
