Unable to recreate blog with old name

  I just deleted my blog because it was a bit of a mess. I immediately went to recreate the blog but am unable to; I see a page saying (something like) ‘the owner of this site deleted it, yadda yadda.”

  How do I get around this?

  I have since learned that I will not be able to re-use my old domain name. This won’t work for me, so I moved on and signed up with Squarespace.
