Unable to register a domain
-
I’m trying to buy a domain for my wordpress.com site. On 5/3, I started the process to purchase the domain but did not complete. So late at night on 5/4 the next day, I go to buy the domain. I go to ‘My Sites’ > Domains, and click on the shopping cart icon. It has the domain I added from before. So then I attempt to purchase the domain and get this error ‘This domain already exists and cannot be registered’. So I do a whois search on the domain and it says it was registered the exact date and time that I added the domain to my cart on 5/3. I’m pretty sure the domain is on hold for me.. but I cannot purchase it. How can I proceed? Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
Are you referring to random-shots.net? I see that you successfully managed to register on May 5th, in fact the domain is already up and running.
Let me know if you were trying to purchase a different domain, so to investigate further on that. Thanks!

Thanks for your reply!! This turned out to not be an issue with WordPress. It turns out another party bought the domain I had in the cart in between the time I added it to the cart, and the next day when I went to complete the purchase. As a result, I went with an alternate domain random-shots.net. So I will mark this issue as resolved, thanks.
