Unable to register domain .com.sg

  Hi there,

  I tried registering the domain name tongaik.com.sg but the message i got was “domain not registered”. So i got my host to help me and my host advised me to add this domain as a subdomain to my other website to generate an IP.

  BUT i am still unable to register it on domain mapping.

  Please help

  Hi there. You can only map a domain if you already own that domain.

  You need to find a registrar through which you can register a domain with that extension, and only after you’ve registered it will you be able to map it to a WordPress.com site. The same applies to mapping a subdomain – you need to own the main domain first. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  By the way:

  Your site, http://directfuneral.wordpress.com/, is hosted by WordPress.com. Even if you buy a domain from someone else and map it here, you’re still hosted by WordPress.com.

  If you have a different website hosted by someone else, you need to post in the WordPress.org forum for help, as we can only assist you here with WordPress.com sites.

  Hi there,

  I do own the domain name and have bought it and registered it. You can check :

  My domain is parked under my host.

  But i still can’t map it. Pls help. Thank you!

  I see your name servers are correctly pointing to WordPress.com. Have you bought the domain mapping upgrade yet under Store in the dashboard?
