Unable to remove all widgets

  Hi,
  i am trying to customize themes on my .wordpress.com page.

  I removed all widgets from the “Sidebar” but the widgets still appear. See attached image:

  If i add one widget then only this widget will appear, but as soon as i remove all, then some default widgets appear :( I tried several themes but all have this issue.

  Please advise.

  Could you change the page template of About page to One column, no sidebar which will remove the default widgets on About page.

  This might not work for rest of the pages but we can find some alternatives for them but first please try this for About page and let me know if you are happy with the result.

  Hi,
  thanks for the reply. Unfortunately i cannot find the “Page attributes” field.

  Is this available in the free version? All i can find under “Pages” is “Add New” and “Copy a Page”.
