Unable to remove "Private" word on home page

  I am currently having a problem with the web page I am designing. On my home page the word “Private:” appears in front of my title heading. Any ideas on how to remove this?

  The word “Private” appears automatically in front of private posts and, to my knowledge, cannot be removed.

  Private posts are only visible by editors and administrators. Is that what you meant to do? Or did you mean to create a private blog that can only be viewed by invitation by certain people (not necessarily your editors or administrators).
