Unable to remove sites from My Sites
-
I have a ton of old sites that were once connected to wordpress.com through Jetpack and I can’t figure out how to remove them. I have read articles but none of the instructions are working.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @adrienking, if the steps aren’t working we can help you from our end. Can you confirm which sites you want removed?

barclayswinejelly.com/new

awarecollection.com/store
http://www.catcherbloc.com
conquerclinic.ca
4segallaw.com (remove one of them. There are 2)
djmrock.com

Thanks, I was able to get most of these disconnected. A few had slightly different names on our side, though, and I don’t want to disconnect anything you actually wanted.
Can you confirm the links to the sites that still need to be removed? And if you want us to remove somewpsite.xyz/all_directories let us know for that domain; I saw a few connections with random directories mentioned but wasn’t sure which you’d want to keep or get rid of.
-
Hey these still need to be removed and I do want to remove the sub directories. I only want the main domain in all cases.
adrienking.com/kingdom_come
http://www.honeyjam.com/ent
honeyjam.com/ent
thesecrettservice.biz/testroyalshort.co
4segallaw.com (remove one of them. There are 2)
http://www.pureedibles.ca
readysetwin.net
http://www.thesecrettservice.biz
mettyouth.caDoes this make sense?
Why is it so hard to remove these? I expect more from a WordPress. It’s kinda silly that I can’t manage this on my own.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, it makes sense. Usually you can remove them with these steps:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/disconnect-jetpack-sites/I’m not sure why that isn’t working for you, but we can usually iron things out so long as you’ll confirm the exact sites.
I was able to remove ones that weren’t in the original list:
– adrienking.com/kingdom_come/
– readysetwin.netThese appear to be gone already:
– I had removed royalshort.co earlier — if you’re still seeing it, can you tell me where?
– I do not see a second copy of 4segallaw.comThe others you listed do not have exact matches, and while I may be able to guess what you were talking about instead, I don’t want to delete them without explicit permission.
I think all of these may have typos (extra Ts)
If you’ll confirm the correct sites I can remove them:
– thesecrettservice.biz/test
– http://www.thesecrettservice.biz
– mettyouth.caI did not find these:
http://www.honeyjam.com/ent
honeyjam.com/ent
http://www.pureedibles.caI do have just honeyjam.com — do you want me to remove that?
And we have honeyjam.com/random-directories/ent — do you want me to remove that?
I found this with a /new at the end — do you want me to remove that?

Still seeing these sites on my ios wordpress app:
royalshort.co
4segallaw.com
http://www.honeyjam.com/ent
honeyjam.com/new
mettyouth.ca
http://www.pureedibles.ca
thesecrettservice.biz/test
http://www.thesecrettservice.biz
innatehealthcentre.com (just realized I forgot to add this one previously)If you want I can send you a screenshot?
-
Hi –
Please sign out and then back in to the app. This should trigger a synch. Let me know if you’re still seeing the sites in the iOS app after that.
-
-
Hi there,
Can you please send us a screenshot of the sites you’re seeing and mark the ones you want help removing?
-
-
Thanks for the screen shots. It’s super helpful.
What happens if you delete the app from the phone and then reinstall it?
– What version of the app are you using?
– Operating system version number? The screen shot looks like the app view to me, but I do not have the same device. If you’re working from a mobile browser, then try clearing the cache:

Just noting too I didn’t hear back about this:
I think all of these may have typos (extra Ts)

http://www.pureedibles.caI still need to remove some of the sites, so let’s get those confirmed and removed. Then I’m going to recommend completely clearing the application data prior to uninstalling and reinstalling.
-
Actually. I’m going to go ahead and use your screenshot to confirm some of these and remove them for you. Will update you here when that’s done.
-
Ok. I was able to remove most of these based on your screenshot. Do you still see them now?
I do need you to confirm you want to remove innatehealthcentre.com though, as you had not mentioned that one previously.
-
-
Perfect, thank you. Those are gone now. And thanks for your patience — several of these showed up differently on our side than they did from your original list. We just didn’t want to get rid of the wrong sites by accident.
Cheers!
