To remove “wordpress.com” from your URL, you will need to upgrade to a paid plan that includes a custom domain. This will allow you to choose a unique domain name for your website that does not include “wordpress.com”.
To upgrade to a paid plan, simply head over to https://wordpress.com/plans/ and select the plan that best suits your needs.
I’d suggest going for the Premium plan, because it not only lets you connect your custom domain, but also comes with cool features like advanced design tools, more storage space, and live chat support to assist you better.
Once you’ve upgraded to the plan, simply follow these step-by-step instructions to change your site’s primary address: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/set-a-primary-address/.
Furthermore, if you haven’t connected your domain yet, you can easily do so by following the Domain Connection guide here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/.
And if you haven’t registered a domain yet, don’t worry! Just follow this easy guide to register your domain:: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/register-domain/.
I hope this helps!
