Unable to renew domain

  I am trying to renew the site and store -> upgrades will not let me. I received email that it was expiring.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you go to https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades and click on the cog icon next to the upgrade you want to renew, do you get the option you’re looking for?

  I created this site for an organization and paid for the first year. I did transfer it to them, but I am also an administrator. I would like to renew it for them, but maybe I cannot.

  The organization who I transferred it to got this email:

  You need to log in as the account you transferred the upgrades to to renew them

  I have also flagged this for the staff to help

  maybe they will help you renew the upgrade as a “gift” a bit early

  Thanks! That is what I thought was going on, but I had hoped it would have been easy for me to pay and not have to bother the organization.

  Hi @janekirstine – As Auxclass mentioned, you will need to be logged in under the user account that currently owns the domain. You will not be able to renew it through your account. If you would like to manage the upgrade moving forward, you can either:

  1. Have them transfer the domain upgrade back to you so you can manage it

  2. Ask them to setup your credit card details for automatic renewal. This may not be ideal if you do not have access to the account to remove the credit card automatic renewal if necessary in the future.
