Unable to renew expired domain

    Hi,

    I’m a Premium subscriber currently unable to renew an expired domain. I have an alert on the screen stating that the domain expired 3 days ago. Clicking the “Renew it now” link takes me to the “My Upgrades” page.

    Clicking the “Manage Plan” button takes me to the “My Upgrades” page as well.

    On the “My Upgrades” page, I get the following message: “You don’t have any upgrades yet. Try one of our plans.”

    Clicking “Try one of our plans” takes me back to the page that I was originally on (showing me currently subscribed to Premium).

    Clicking “Payment Settings” from the Domain Settings also takes me to the “My Upgrades” page.

    Exactly which username account registered the blog and purchased the domain mapping upgrade?

    Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.

    You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and renew any upgrades. https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/

    I see my user, as well as another one bamsimcgroup, which is a third party that helped set things up initially. If I were to remove that admin user, would I be able to do the renewal myself?

    Did bamsimcgroup register the blog under that username account?

    Yes. That username belongs to a group of students that have since graduated.

    They registered it, but the original upgrade to Premium was paid for with my billing information.

    Sorry for the back and forth, just trying to get this ironed out :)
