Unable to renew expired domain

  I have an expired (cancelled plan) domain that is no longer able to be renewed through wordpress’s dash board under Manage Purchases.

  How do I go about getting it back?

  Hi there,

  Your plan is not expired. You cancelled it, via a live chat support session with us, on 23 July, at which point we gave you a full refund for the last renewal payment, which was on 25 June.

  If you cancel an upgrade it is completely removed from your account, so there no longer exists anything that can be renewed.

  If you want to use a paid plan on WordPress.com again, you can buy a new plan for your site at My Site ->Plans.

  Thanks for the quick reply kokkieh!

  So the question is – to regain the currently parked domain would I have to buy a new plan and the domain would appear available again? That’s what I was confused about.

  Hi @wendychenrmt, not exactly, but if you buy a new plan and update us here, we can restore it for you.

  You can also request an invoice for the domain alone, so that it can be restored here. That’s a good option if you meant to use the domain with another provider. What would you like to do?

  Hi, just wanted to provide an update my situation regarding the domain registration.

  Now that the domain has been recovered – my dashboard is still displaying that my domain has expired and that I must renew it.

  My understanding was that the $18 fee paid was for the domain registration for the year so I was confused as to why it’s displaying as still expired.

  May I transfer my domain to another registrar instead?
