Unable to Save Email Update

I am unable to save my email address when I update. I do not receive a notification via the new or old email. The old email was with my school email, but now I do not want to lose my work in my account and cannot access my old email.

I checked the thekathunts WordPress.com account and I found that the email address currently on file doesn’t end in .edu so it doesn’t seem like a school account. What does the last part of the email address you are trying to change to say (the part after the @ symbol)?

I was able to change it, but not to the email I wanted.
I currently have it with my professional email account (since it would allow me to change it to that), which ends in my school name and .com; I would like to have it connected to my personal account, which is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

That makes sense. The (email visible only to moderators and staff) email address is already associated with a different WordPress.com account other than thekathunts.
Each WordPress.com account must have a unique email address—you cannot use the same one for more than one account.
So if you want to use (email visible only to moderators and staff) for the thekathunts account, you must first log in to the other account (you can log in using the email address as a username) and change the email address there (including the confirmation step) and that will free up the email address so you can use it on the thekathunts account.
