unable to save posts; wordpress hanging

  is something going on with WP? I kept getting tons of popups everytime I tried to save (“are you sure you want to navigate away from this post?”) and then the whole thing just went into hang mode when I tried to save.

  I tried logging out and clearing cache and starting over, but (of course!) nothing is left of what I wrote.
  Also having some strange visual editor behavior.
