“Unable to Save the Image” Errors
-
I’m having a recurring problem. I update one of my blogs about every week, I generally upload several photos and then resize them. However, about 1 in every 3 times I do this, I just get an error “Unable to save the image” when I try and scale the photos.
This is very annoying and the message is of no help whatsoever. There’s nothing wrong with the photos. I usually end up deleting them and uploading them again and eventually get the scale function to work.
I’ve seen other posts about this but there were no answers and the questions were closed. Is this a rare case? Does WordPress know about this? Anyone else seeing this

@trail, my suggestion is to always do your image editing and resizing in a dedicated image editing program on your computer. Picasa and GIMP are free downloads if you do not have one. First off, the quality coming out of a dedicated image editing program is going to be far superior to what comes out of the wordpress image editor. Secondly, you never have to worry about whether the image editor in wordpress is going to flake out or not. Generally though I think it is pretty stable right now. There were some issues in the past, but I had thought most of those were ironed out.

Just encountered this problem, too, for the first time. 5 of 11 photos in a recently uploaded gallery will not save after a simple rotation. Never had this problem before.
