unable to see site since domain name expired

  Dear support, I have not renewed my domain name blog.Ellievranken , and since then I cannot see my site anymore when I’m logged in.
  I see a black screen, with the announcement “O help! It seems like your domain name has expired!” and a button “renew now”.
  Am I obliged to renew the domain name then?
  What do I have to do to see my site please?

  Hi Ellie.

  I’ve gone ahead to remove the expired mapping from your account and your site can now be viewed at its free domain: ellievranken.wordpress.com. :)

  The reason we display the overlay on sites with an expired domain is because domains can be very tricky to get back once expired, we want to help prevent people from accidentally losing them.
