Unable to see what is being written

After inverting the colors to the theme, I notice when I went to create a post, you cannot see what is being typed. After publishing, everything shows up. Because you cannot see what you are typing, it’s a guessing games to make edits.

Issue: On a black background, the text doesn’t change to yellow (though selected) and remains black causing the writer the inability to see what is being typed.

Is there a solution to this?

  • Hi there!

If I edit your page, I see the yellow text on the black background, just like on the live site.

Could you let us know some more details? You mentioned this happened to you when creating a post. Is it different after the post has been published and you’re trying to edit it?

This happens when I am writing the post or editing. When it is published, it does have the correct color scheme. Is there a way to place a picture/screenshot on here?

If it helps any, my app is in dark mode and the issue happens when I’m on my iPad and iPhone.

My guess is to go into the option and select the pre formatted option to be able to see what I’m typing.

  • Hi there,

If you want to share a screenshot, you can upload it directly to your media library and we can see it there. Or alternatively you can use a service like https://snipboard.io to share it here in the forums.

This is what I see when editing your Introduction post:

Likewise I can see your text if I edit your current draft post, or if I create a brand new post.

So I suspect this might be browser related. What browser, including version number, are you using? Please check if clearing the browser cache or using another browser makes any difference.
