Unable to select my Subdomain as there is no option to do so

  On the support page of WordPress, I looked for the solution to verify my subdomain in the google search console. The solution tells me to select my subdomain under the ‘Domain’ section. However, I’m unable to select my subdomain as there is no option to select it. Am I missing something? Please guide!

  Hi there:

  Can you review the steps here to make sure you’re setting things up on Google’s end properly? It sounds like you’re choosing “Domain” instead of “URL prefix” – for WordPress.com sites, you need to use “URL prefix” when you set this up:

  https://wordpress.com/support/site-verification-services/#google-search-console

  If you still have trouble, please provide more details into what URL you’re trying and what errors you’re seeing.
