Unable to sign-on to iPhone app

I loaded the iPhone app last week and every time I input my username and password the app would sit with the message ‘loading blogs’ then eventually just close down. I deleted the app and tried again today and am getting the same message. I can access wordpress fine from my macbook and my mac PC but not from the iPhone app. I’m going on holiday next week and would really, really like to be able to post when I’m away.
Can anyone help? Oh and I’m not very technical so any responses would be greatly appreciated if they are in ‘baby terms’ :)
