Unable to Unsubscribe from a WP Blog

I have tried for months to unsubscribe from the https://whatever.scalzi.com/ blog. When I click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email, it takes me to a list of WP subscriptions, but that blog is not on the list. I have two WP sites, and the email address his email is sent to is not the email address associated to either of my WP sites–so I don’t even know how this is happening. I want to stop getting his blog, but no one seems to be able to help me unsubscribe since it’s generated from WordPress. Everyone tells me to do the same thing: Click unsubscribe, be taken to my list, click unfollow–except it’s NOT on the list for either of my WP sites. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try logging out of WordPress.com first, then click the email’s Unsubscribe link.
Please let us know what the email address is if that doesn’t work out for you.

Of the literally hundreds of times I’ve clicked on unsubscribe, 50% of the instances my browser has not even been open let alone the WordPress site, including several instances today. I’ve deleted my browsing history and tired, used an incognito window and tried–nothing works. This blog simply does not appear on my list of subscriptions. I’ve tried to log in using that email and it just reverts to the email associated with WP accounts or I get an error message. I would be happy to give you that email address, but I don’t want to post it on a public site. It is the email I use for my personal banking accounts, medical accounts, anything family and home related. Is there a number where I can reach customer support or talk to someone that might help? Or if I can find a way–perhaps through his publisher–to get a message to John Scalzi, does he even have the ability to unsubscribe me from his blog?

No, not the email address that’s sending them.
We need to know the email address that’s receiving them, the one you want to unsubscribe from our emails.

When I try to post that email into this text box, I get the following message:
“ERROR: Duplicate reply detected; it looks a though you’ve already said that!”
I don’t know if you got it or not, but I’m trying again with more text: Whatever <(email visible only to moderators and staff)>

Don’t worry; if you type the email address in its own line, it will only be visible to the WordPress.com staff. It will be hidden from anyone else, like this:
