Unable to update DNS info

    I’m trying to connect my WordPress domain to my Squarespace site and I get error messages saying “Unable to update DNS info”. The verification record is blocking the domains from fully connecting to the site. Here is what I’m entering into the fields:

    Type: CNAME
    Name: [redacted]
    Alias of: verify.squarespace.com

    Can you tell me what the issue may be or possible just add it for me?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    If you have a wordpress.ORG site, you’ll get better support on the WordPress.org support forum ;)

    If you have a wordpress.COM site however, you don’t need a host for your site, since it’s already hosted on wordpress.com.

    I have a wordpress.com site. What would you suggest I do to resolve my issue? I need my new Squarespace site to have the domain I purchased through WordPress. I no longer want the wordpress.com blog hosted on the domain graystonestudents.com.

    Hi @graystonestudents1, you should be able to do this on your own via https://wordpress.com/domains . Since it isn’t working for you, I’ll email to get the other settings you need, and we’ll take care of it from our side. Cheers!

    Hi

    Trying to create corporate email with Zoho for my wordpress blog. I followed the following WordPress instructions: Choose CNAME from the dropdown menu. In the first box, paste the code beginning with zb that you copied in step 4 above. In the second box, put “zmverify.zoho.com”. Click Add New DNS Record.

    That’s what I did. But I got the message “Unable to update DNS info“.

    Hi @ctb009, can you start a new thread, and specify the site you’re trying to change? You can add the tag “modlook” to get staff attention.

    I’m going to go ahead and close this thread so that the original poster (whose issue is long resolved) won’t have to receive more notices as we go back and forth trying to solve this. Thanks :)
