Unable to update imported posts – forced to authorize
-
Hi. I have a wordpress installation which I suspect is compromised in some way. Having exported all the content I am trying to establish a fresh install in a new directory so that I can set it all up before switching to the fresh install. All goes well until I import the posts/pages and then I can’t update a post/page. If I try, I get sent to re authorise and if I do the update has been dropped. I tried to set this up on a completely different site for testing purposes and it all worked fine, but not on the main site. I wondered it it might be because I have the same site in my public_html and in a directory within public_html.
Also … I can edit the Hello world post in the fresh install … the problem arises when I impost the posts.
When trying to update the url contains wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2F
Any ideas welcome.
Thanks Alan
