    Hi there!

Can you provide the URL of the website you are having trouble with? Just so I can make sure it is not the theme doing something weird.

If you go to My Sites -> Customize -> Site Identity, change your Site Title and Tagline as desired, then click Publish, it should be changing. If you close out without publishing, the changes will not be saved. If you’ve followed these steps and are still having issues, please let me know!

That’s the issue, it is not updating even after saving or publishing. It is the Creative Blog Responsive WordPress Theme. heramericanstory.com

Okay! Thanks for providing the URL, it looks like your site was made using the self-hosted version of WordPress, WordPress.org. This forum is devoted to WordPress.com sites, the difference between the two can be found here. WordPress.org has a separate forum that may be able to help you better, located here.

I did do some digging myself on the theme you are using, and from what I can tell the text on the demo site that says “Creative Blog WordPress Theme” is actually an image, not text tied to the name of your site. So that would make sense as to why it isn’t updating! From my judgement, it looks like you’ll have to find the HTML that is displaying that image and replace it with a header tag with your site name, such as <h1>Her American Story</h1>. As I said before, this forum is for WordPress.com, so if you need help editing the code of the theme to remove that image, the WordPress.org forum will be able to help you better.

God luck and hope this helps!
