Unable to update text

    Hello. I have not updated this site in years due to COVID, and other life events, but I’m at a time when I need to restart this area of my life. I want to update the text on my website: dmurphyryan.com and have logged into WordPress (I am using a free template) but I am unable to edit my existing text. It appears that it wants me to completely recreate my site. I need this for an even this evening.

    Hi there,

    It looks like your site at dmurphyryan.com isn’t hosted here on WordPress.com, but rather at GoDaddy.com.

    To access that site, go to http://dmurphyryan.com/wp-login.php and log in with your admin user credentials for that site, which aren’t the same as the details you used to log into your WordPress.com username account.

    If you don’t remember the login details for that site, you can see the password reset instructions for your version of WordPress at https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/, or GoDaddy support might also be able to help you with this.
