Unable to upload any media

  Every time I try to upload a photo, I get the error ‘This file type is not allowed. Please try another’.

  File types I am trying to upload include .png and .jpg, which I understand to be regularly supported.

  Help!

  Hi there,

  Looks like a browser issue. Can you please try the following things:

  – Clear your browser’s cache
  – Force refresh the page
  – Log-out from your WordPress.com account and log-in again.

  It does not appear to be a browser issue. I have cleared my cache, forced refresh, logged out and back in, and tried Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

  Another team member is experiencing the same issue in the same wordpress workspace. Please advise, as we are not able to continue work without adding images.

  Is the site in question a WordPress.com site? Have you been able to upload images previously? Are you an Admin or Editor of the unnamed site as contributors cannot upload images. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/
