Unable to upload images

I’ve been trying to upload 5 images to my blog all day. The uploading stops at 30% and then stops completely. If refresh the page I see the text “crunching” briefly but that’s about it. Uploading for example to Facebook is working normally. This is driving me nuts.

My images are the same size they’ve always been, 640 pixels wide (can’t remember the height).

I’d like to rule-out a browser-specific issue.
Do you have the same trouble with Firefox or Chrome?
