unable to upload landing page

  I am trying to upload a landing page I had made, but it keeps failing. The person who did the page for me says its something on my end, but no idea what to do from here on. It says The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet, but the developer says its fine…

  Hi, you won’t be able to upload a theme to your WordPress.com site:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  You can select a different theme for WordPress.com by going to WordPress admin –> Appearance –> Themes.

  If you are using the self-hosted version of WordPress (WordPress.org), then try reinstalling your theme:
