unable to upload pics

  im using a macbook pro/safari combo. im hosting my wordpress through my website. all the text uploads fine, but i get this error when trying to upload photos:

  “Unable to create directory /home/virtual/site257/fst/var/www/html/wordpress/wp-content/uploads. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

  what do i do?

  As you are self hosted, you need to be asking over on the forums at wordpress.org.
