Unable to use customized editor to edit CSS

Hello, I am unable to use the ‘additional CSS’ section of the customized editor. How can I make this editable?

The reason I want to be able to edit is so that I can remove the ‘follow’ bar that shows on the bottom of my site everytime someone scrolls up. If there’s a workaround solution for this, that’d be helpful. I want to edit the css as seen in this example: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/remove-follow-button-in-action-bar/

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

    Hi there!

You can add custom CSS code to your WordPress.com site on the WordPress.com Premium plan and higher. Your current plan is Personal, which doesn’t allow the use of custom CSS. You can upgrade to Premium to access this feature.

By upgrading to WordPress.com Premium, you’ll also get more storage space, the ability to upload videos, live chat support on weekdays (annual plan only), access to Google Analytics, and more.

Hope that helps! Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.
