Unable to verify external services for profile? It keeps asking for XML-RPC-AP1 to be enabled
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
All WordPress blogs are XML-RPC enabled. See here http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/

Then how come when I opt to verify WordPress it comes back with Blog not found. Without this option, information does not appear as part of profile which others read…

Are you trying to add your WordPress.com site to verified services in Gravatar? If so, the way to add a WordPress.com site to your Gravatar profile is from here:
http://en.gravatar.com/profiles/edit/#your-links
If this is not the problem, could you send me a link to the page you are having trouble with?

We want to add the wordpress.com site to “verified” links in the left side. Not at the bottom.
It is not working for me either.

i see other gravatar pages have it listed there. it is not a big deal, but it seems like the obvious place people would look to find your wordpress blog.
I also wonder why when we click a bloggers gravatar images from comments, likes, etc, it doesn’t just take us directly to their wordpress site. From there bloggers could share other sites they have etc…

That piece is confusing. There was a time when WordPress.com sites could be added there, and self-hosted sites can still be connected. So the sites you see there are legacy WordPress.com sites and/or existing self-hosted sites.

If you click a blogger’s name, they have the option of having that link go to the Website of their choice, the Gravatar goes to their Gravatar profile. This way each comment provides two ways for people to get to know a commenter better.

Liz, thanks for your responses. I will hold out hope that some day we may be able to change that again.
Maybe I will look into self hosted. I don;t know much about those.
Also, I didn’t know about the two options for clicking names and gravatar. I will look into it. Thanks again!

Liz, found it in the “comments” section. I was looking at the post page for the name option.

Cool. Is that all you needed then?
