unable to verify site

  This site set up by someone else on my behalf. I do not want a blog but a web site. I have set up another site with a similar name but I am unable to verify it. I would like to use Friends of Hetton Lyons Country Park instead of Hetton Country Park. I get the message Verification failed. or verification file was not found.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Just looked into your account and on our end it looks like your account is verified. To make sure, could you please visit https://wordpress.com/post/ , add in a bit of filler text, then publish that test post on http://friendsofhettonlyonscountrypark.wordpress.com/

  If it publishes correctly, then you’re all set. :)

  I do not want a blog but a web site

  A blog is just a type of website with the newest content listed at the top. But you can remove all the posts and just use pages to have a more static feel, which is good if you don’t need to update content often.

  First, make a static front page with these steps:

  Set the Homepage

  No need to follow the Option ‘blog page’ steps.

  After that, add some new Pages to your set like an About page or a Contact page.
