Unable to view Sidebar widget customization option in Edin theme

  I am using the Edin theme but am not able to customize the sidebar widget (text widget). In the Mysite –> Customize –> Widgets section I do not see the sidebar widget area.
  How can I customize the sidebar widget?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There is a sidebar in the page template (not the front page). When I create any new page, it shows “SIDEBAR TEXT WIDGET” on the right. I want to know how I can customize it.
  From the documentation:
  “Widget Areas
  Edin offers seven widget areas, which can be configured in Customize → Widgets:
  A sidebar widget area, which appears on the right or left”

  Hi there,

  The Customizer will only show the sidebar option under Widgets if you’re looking at a page that can show a sidebar. So, if you’re looking at the front page you won’t see the sidebar option, because the front page of Edin doesn’t show a sidebar.

  However, if you click on a post to see the single post view in the preview, the sidebar option will be visible under widgets.

  You can also open the WP-Admin dashboard by adding /wp-admin to the end of your site’s URL. Then go to Appearance ->Widgets and edit the widgets from there. But then you won’t have the live preview that you have in the Customizer.

  When you open the customizer it always jumps to the home page and so it’s you don’t see the sidebar widget.

  That is why I said click on a post or a different page inside the preview. Then that post or page will appear in the preview and you will see the sidebar option.
