Unattached media images

    Before I go and delete them only to realise I have messed up my blog, can I delete the “unattached” media library images without it affecting the posts I’ve made?

    I have only just realised I’ve been uploading massive photos unnecessarily and am wasting my free storage allowance. So I thought deleting these old files would free up a little space and from now on, I am editing my photos to be small JPEGs around 100k not 100MEG!

    It should be fine unless you link to those images in either your posts, pages, widgets, background, or header.

    Note that you are currently using 654.1 MB out of 3.0 GB upload limit (21%), so you still have plenty of space :)
