  @svetlanasf-Just my 2¢.

  The most important point is this: your images do not need to be attached to a specific Post/Page in order to appear in a Gallery feature.

  Therefore, if your preference is to have your images attached to the Post/Page where you are including them in a Gallery feature, then upload and insert the images to the Post/Page where you are inserting the Gallery feature.
