    Hello,

It has come to our attention that a number of unauthorised advertisements are appearing on our websites.  Below is an example of such an advert.

Please ensure that such unauthorised adverts are removed.  If you wish to place adverts on our websites, our management is prepared to discuss terms with you.

    Yours faithfully,

    Ms. Sharon Taylor

Those ads aren’t unauthorised. It’s clearly stated on our site, wordpress.com shows ads on every free site to cover the costs – https://wordpress.com/support/no-ads/. You agreed when you set up your free site.

If you don’t want ads on your free site, you must upgrade to a paid plan whereas the personal Plan is the cheapest.

    Hi there!

As @staartmees mentioned above, free WordPress.com sites are ad-supported. Those ads help us keep free sites running for free. We recommend upgrading to a WordPress.com plan if you’d like to remove ads from your site.

The WordPress.com Personal plan is a great starting point that will remove ads from your site. If you upgrade to the yearly plan, you can also get a free domain registration for the first year. That lets you use a custom domain so your visitors see that instead of your WordPress.com site address.

You can upgrade using the link below if you’re interested:

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

    Dear Sir / Madam,

RE: UNAUTHORISED ADVERTISEMENTS APPEARING ON WEBSITES

I write with reference to the above and I have looked at your link. I do not accept that the contractural arrangements you refer to entitle WordPress to place ads on my site and we shall be looking towards commencing litigation in the UK to establish what the position is.

REQUEST FOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES

In the meantime, kindly supply by return, details of the relevant clauses within any contractural agreement you are relying on, to support the statement contained in your previous message. Alternatively, provide details where I can obtain such information, either online or by contacting lawyers / attorneys acting on your behalf.

    PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF PARTIES COMMUNICATIONS

Finally, please be advised, that in keeping with our Public Commons policy, in relation to the information contained on this site, we retain the right to publicly disclose on our online platforms, all communications between us.

    Yours faithfully,

    Ms. Sharon Taylor
