Unauthorised charge
-
WordPress.com have automatically billed me for a $99 service I don’t want – I had no idea they would auto charge me. I don’t use Worpress anymore and haven’t for a long time. Who has charged me and how can I speak to them directly to ensure I am refunded?

Hello @seanhartcoachingblog,
It might have happened because of the auto-renew feature.re:Disable Auto-Renew
You can turn off Auto Renewal from the Manage Purchases section of your account.I am tagging this question with the modlook tag on the Tags section of the sidebar. So that this thread gets the staff attention.
Read about the modlook tag here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question
re:Refunds
WordPress.COM has a 30-day refund policy on all their paid plans, except for Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours. The refund period for Guided Transfers ends 30 days after purchase or as soon as your site has been moved, whichever comes first. You can still cancel your plans after 30-days but you wont we refunded for your cancellation so it is suggested that you stay on the plan and let it expire.
NOTE:
You will be refunded to the same payment method you used for your purchase. After processing, refunds usually take about a week to appear on your statement. For credit card refunds, it may take 5-7 business days to appear on your online bank account or in 1-2 billing statements.
As stated here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/
You can cancel your plans from the manage purchases section. Read more about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/
Thanks! 🙂

Hi there,
It looks like this transaction has already been refunded, so I’m going to mark this thread as resolved :)
It can take up to a month for refunds to appear in your account, but it usually happens within 7 days.
Cheers,
Hugh
