Unauthorised payment made to WordPress

Yesterday I was billed for for something I did not authorise. I only discovered this when I received an automated email as follows:
Dear Gavin,
The following WordPress.com upgrade was purchased or renewed successfully:
Item: No Ads for http://communitylearningbank.wordpress.com
Cost: $30.00When I went to Store>MyUpgrades, I found that a renewal for No Ads had been made – BUT NOT BY ME!
I can provide a screenshot to show that the upgrade required Manual Renewal not Auto Renewal and yet in effect what happened was an Auto Renewal.
I would like
a) an explanation
b) to delete this site permanently to avoid any further unauthorised payments made by WordPress.comThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You had auto renewal set up for your No Ads upgrade on http://communitylearningbank.wordpress.com. You are seeing that upgrade showing as manual renewal right now because the credit card attached to the auto-renewal will expire before the next renewal date (in Feb 2015) . When that happens, we change the upgrade to a manual renewal because we wouldn’t be able to process the charge when it comes around again.
I have processed that refund for you. Please be aware that it can take up to 7-10 business days for refunds to show up on your statement.

I can absolutely help you with that.
Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain communitylearningbank.org it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using communitylearningbank.org again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.
Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.

Thankyou for your reply and also your explanation. I will check through any other WordPress sites I have just in case I have made the same mistake.
Thankyou for the refund. Yes please I would now like to remove the domain communitylearningbank and then delete the website. I realise this may take several weeks or longer for the reasons you have outlined above
