Unauthorized access

I received an email saying that someone not authorized by me has changed the password.

Hello Pamela,
I have tagged the mods so they will see your post as I’m sure they’ll be able to best assist you.
With that being said, once you’re able to get back into your account I would suggest that you utilize their Two-Step Authentication security feature to help prevent this in the future. I’ve included a link below that you can learn more about this security feature.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help with in the meantime.
Have a good day! :)

Hi there,
To be on the safe side, I’d recommend resetting the password. If you know the current password for your account, you can change it by following these instructions below:
You can also change your password from the Settings tab on the WordPress.com home page:
https://wordpress.com/me/security
If you don’t have access to your account or forgot the password, you can request a new password by entering your email address here:
http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Please carefully follow the instructions. You’ll receive an email during the reset process, so make sure that you read it for instructions. If you don’t receive the email right away, check your spam folder, as well, because the confirmation email can end up there.
Once you’ve reset your account password, you can see our suggestions for choosing a strong password here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/selecting-a-strong-password/
For extra security, I would also go ahead and enable two-step authentication:
Let me know if you have any questions or issues!
Cheers,
