Unauthorized bank withdrawal

    Why was I charged for a free account? A withdrawal from WordPress of $60.00 was made to my bank account. I want my money back in my account.

    Hi there,

    You cannot be charged for a free account, as we don’t ask for credit card details when you create a free account – we can’t charge your card if we don’t know what your card number is.

    If you’ve been charged it’s for the renewal of an existing upgrade on a site in another account, as the account you used to post here has never bought anything from us.

    If you’re not sure what site the charge is for, please search for the charge at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/. You can also use the Contact Us link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this – to track down the transaction we’ll need to get some additional information from you which we cannot discuss here in the public forums.
