Unauthorized Charge

  Hello,

  I just noticed I was charged for an amount of $26 through my Paypal account which I did not authorize. I also noticed someone authorized the application Gravatar through my email with username @Melissa006.

  None of this was authorized by me or was given access by me. I would like refund to my Paypal account for the charged amount.

  Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. If you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.

  This username does not own any upgrades, and there has never been any charges to this username. Do you have another WordPress.com username that might have been used?

  You can also use wpchrg.wordpress.com which @timethief linked to above to look for the transaction. If you can’t find it there, that page also has a link where you can contact us privately so we can get the necessary payment information from you we need to find this transaction.
