Unauthorized Charge

  I found an unauthorized charge in the amount of $48 on my bank account today. I just checked my wordpress and there is no billing history, no charges, nothing. So I guess I am curious as to how you got my billing information and why I am being charged for a website or domain name or whatever the charge is for. My bank checked and said there is no recurring charge set up on the wordpress charge. So what is going on and again….how did you get my billing information? Is there a way I can stop this charge amicably with you without involving my bank and getting a new card or is the goal just to inconvenience as many people as possible? #NotHappyAtAll

  We definitely have no purchases on the account you’re currently logged into, no history of transactions, and no stored billing details, so this is is most likely on a different account (if it is even from us).

  Please enter the charge details into https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ and we can help you through that.

  I did just find the charge through that link. Thank you so much for that link! It was associated with an “account” that I was looking into last year of starting but never did.

  I did ask for a refund and canceled the charge on your end. The “billing history” says that it is being refunded. I would give you my information to double check but this is a public forum.

  Excellent, the refund has definitely been sent. :)

  Depending on your credit card provider, it can take up to 10 days to appear on your statement, though usually far less.
