Unauthorized charge on credit card
-
Hello
We have been charged $18 and we have no idea why. It also came from one of our colleague’s credit cards which we had removed from our account a while ago.
Vendor – WordPress, reference WORDPRESS [redacted by mod]
Please can someone explain where this payment came from and why.

NEVER pot sensitive information (transaction ID) on a public forum. I’ve asked Staff to remove it.
You can check that charge at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ -
Thanks Jennifer. I have noticed though this WPCHRG reference come up in other forum topics as not legitimate, so I am wary to use it.

Hi there!
I have noticed though this WPCHRG reference come up in other forum topics as not legitimate, so I am wary to use it.
I’m curious, where have you seen that?
https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ is an official page of ours from which you can reach our billing support team directly. We point our users to that page to track down the transaction without posting transactional data here, in the public forums.

One of our colleagues (for the blog: http://euppublishingblog.com/) has been charged by WordPress on her credit card $18 and we cannot figure out why the payment was taken or what it was for. We need a receipt for our finance department, but over and above that I want to make sure we’re not being charged for something we didn’t ask for!

Thanks for that Jennifer! I didn’t notice the duplicated post before.
@teriwilliamseupedacuk, the charge was an auto-renewal for the domain euppublishingblog.com. Since you marked the thread as resolved, have you already figured it all out?
