Unauthorized charge on my credit card

I have sent 3 emails to the contact page and have not had a reply. I have had a free account for a year or so, and last month there was a charge for $35.88 on my credit card. However, this charge does not show up in my Billing History. This is very confusing and off-putting. I’d like to know what this charge is for and I would like to have it refunded immediately.

To save you time we can try to determine relevant details such as which upgrade, which site URL and which username account is this about.
How many username accounts and sites do you have? Maybe you failed to cancel one and disable auto renew.

It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. Also, if you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.

This charge is not connected to the user account that you’ve contacted us from. When you sign in to WordPress.com under ordinarynotbasic you will not find it, it’s not connected.
I will be happy to help process a refund if I am able to. First, we need you to contact us from the correct account.
Every WordPress.com charge delivers an emailed billing receipt. That is the email address that you need to sign in with at WordPress.com to locate the correct account.

As you are not logged in under the correct username account you need to clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login correctly under the relevant username account.
