Unauthorized password change request

  “Unauthorized password change request” is being displayed when I try to change my password. I’m using the “Generate strong password” feature and I’ve tried to input my own password as well – no dice.

  Can you help? We were requested to change our passwords.

  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  How many username accounts do you have?
  Exactly which one registered the blog you want access to?

  You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.

  I only have one username account with one blog which I am the administrator of.

  That said, I used the recovery tool to change it and that worked fine. I just couldn’t use the password change tool within my account for some reason.

  The proposed solutions did not provide a fix. However, in the interim between my initial post and the help provided, I was able to reset my password through the normal avenue (clicking on my profile, then password, and saving a new password). I made no changes in my approach, but it worked!

  I can’t change my password and I am the admin. This is a serious problem of wordpress because a lot of users have this issue.
