Unauthorized password change request

  “Unauthorized password change request”

  Hey community,

  After attempting to update my password, I am lead to a page that says “unauthorized password change request.” I am logged into my account, obviously, and am given the green change password button after typing in my new selection. I have tried logging out and back in again, waiting a half hour and retrying, etc.

  What is the issue?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Same problem as you.

  I change the password while logged in but when I hit “save changes” I see “Unauthorized password change request.”

  Sorry about that. I just tried changing my test account password and found that it was working. Can you please try again here:

  Thank you for the update. It seemed to be browser-related, because it worked fine the other day when I went to the password reset page on a different Chrome user.

  For me it didn’t worked. I’m logged as admin on the firefox browser.

  Can you please try another browser?

  Also, if that doesn’t work, can you please describe what happens when you try to change your password?

  I tried on Google Chrome and appear the message

  Unauthorized password change request.

  It didn’t work your tip, sorry.

  Are you logged in as the Administrator? Please note that you must be logged into the account with the username that registered the blog.

  You can tell me the blog that you are logged into?

  Now I tried again and get it. My blog is http://bartprojects.wordpress.com/

  But I think it’s a general problem involving WordPress because this affected some users.

  I’m having the same problem, since last week. Tried on different browsers but keep getting the error message “Unauthorized password change request.”

  Let me know how that works out!
