Unauthorized Payment!!!

Hi, I had an unauthorised payment of 22 pounds taken out of my bank account! I dont use wordpress anymore and I cancelled all payments back last year! I did not authorize this payment and would like it refunded. I have already contacted the bank and they were going to dispute it, if you refund me it asap then I wont bother disputing it. This is very unacceptablr to take payments without any authorization.

Provided you are logged in under the same username account that registered the blog and purchased the trial upgrade, you ought to be able cancel trial upgrades under Store → My Upgrades in your dashboard at any time, request a refund and also disable auto-renew.

Hi, Thanks for messaging back. I did NOT upgrade..It has been free for ages and I have not logged in until now, as I was not even aware that I could log in. I want to know how this has happened? as I did not know this happened! I will have a look at this but may also notify the bank again as this is really unacceptable and worrying.

WordPress.COM cannot charge you for anything at all that you did not provide your financial information for. We bloggers do not provide financial information unless, or until we apply to have a trial upgrade or we purchase upgrades for our blogs. As there has been some sort of mix-up here please submit your form here http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?whywasi=charged and know I also tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up.

My card details were already registered on here though from last year?!! I have no idea how this has happened, but want a refund to be made. Thanks for helping anyway.

I just want to confirm before I refund your purchase (which I’m happy to do). If I refund your purchase, your domain katie90horodecki.com will stop working on March 28, 2014.
If you do not renew your domain it will go through a lengthy expiration process as we’ve outlined here:
After that point, you may not be able to register this domain again. If you’re no longer using this domain, I can cancel it for you completely.

I’ve disabled auto-renew for your domain katie90horodecki.com, and issued a refund for the £22. The amount of time it takes to reach your bank account varies from bank-to-bank, but it’s usually about a week (5 business days).
