Unauthorized Post on My Blog
-
This is the second time that someone has put a post on my blog. I have deleted them but wanted to know how this person is able to do posts on my blog. I am the only authorized person on my blog.
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you asking about http://thebookendsreviews.com/?
If so you are posting in the wrong forum, that site is not hosted on WordPress.COM, you need to get help at WordPress.ORG

The only “hacked” sites I have seen here have been people getting the password somehow to a site so you do want to be careful how you log in and use a tough password.
You should also check to make sure that someone has not added a new user to your site. Problems have also happened when there was more than one Admin. and an Admin left on less than graceful terms.
Dashboard >> Users
Many times a users email is hacked or the password guessed and the email account is used to get access by requesting a password reset – you need to change your email password and make sure they nobody has been added to your email account.
You should also run a virus check on you PC to make sure your PC does not have a security issue that has compromised your email or WordPress.COM log-in information (also your bank etc. if you do online banking or retirement accounts)
There have also been a few Posts on “hacked” sites and it was because someone got the Post by Email address and using the Post by Email to send in new Posts, if you have Post by email disable the Post by Email and regenerate the address. Spammers have scripts the generate email addresses and they sometimes can get a valid address for a Post by Email address.
If you are really concerned you could as the staff to look at your site: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
You could also use a secure log-in in case you are on an unsecured link: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

I’ve changed my password, I’ve checked that no users have been added. I never post by email, would disabling the post by email affect the posts done through the wordpress app on ipad, etc?

Set the offending Posts to Draft or set them to Private – then post back here the title, the staff can look at them and maybe help with where they came from, seems to me limited info is kept on where a Post comes from, but worth a try – once you post back here add “modlook” (without quotes) at a tag – that will mark it for the staff to check
-
The titles of the two posts are: Daily Promp: Regrets I’ve Had A Few and Back To The Capial…
I’ve set both posts as drafts.

Below are the unauthorized posts. Not sure how to add a tag for madlook, but I think I got it.
Title of first unauthorized post: searching for the easiest method to lose
Title of second unauthorized post: get a free bottle of pure garcinia cambo

The staff will post an answer here – if there are privacy issues they will contact you using the email of record for your blogs

Howdy lilk13,
Checking into your site, it appears those posts were made “legitimately”, meaning there’s no indication of hacking. auxclass’s password breach is the most likely explanation for those two entries. As you’ve already changed your password, please do ensure it is as secure as possible and not a password you share with other service.
More about strong passwords can be found: http://en.support.wordpress.com/selecting-a-strong-password/
Additionally, there is a post-by-e-mail address active for your blog. I’d strongly suggest deleting it if you’re no long using it. You can find it via this page. Hover over the e-mail address and select delete:

Ellen—Jackie and I checked out your situation earlier and she’ll keep with you on your issue on the separate thread.
Cheers!
