    Hello,

This is a formal request to cancel the automatic renewal of my WordPress subscription.

I made a one-time payment approximately one year ago. I was NOT informed that the subscription would renew automatically, and I did NOT consent to a renewal or provide authorization for recurring billing.

Since June 21, 2025, WordPress has attempted to charge my card multiple times:

    – June 21 – Transaction: WORDPRESS 60P3VX7CNB
    – June 23 – Transaction: WORDPRESS 654ZN7RHUW
    – June 25 – Transaction: WORDPRESS 7AP7FJTLYE

All attempts were rejected due to insufficient funds, but these repeated charges are unacceptable.

I no longer have access to the account or email associated with the subscription and have no way to cancel it myself.

❗You are violating payment network rules (Visa/MasterCard) by continuing to attempt recurring charges without active user consent or an accessible way to cancel.

If you do not cancel this subscription and remove my card data immediately, I will:

    1. File a formal chargeback with my bank,
    2. Report WordPress / Automattic Inc. to Visa, MasterCard, and consumer protection authorities.

This is your final notice. Take action now.

    Sincerely,
    Karen D

By default, WordPress.com plans, domains, and other subscriptions are set to automatically renew to ensure no disruption in your services, loss of features, or expiry of your domain name. Automatic renewal ensures that everything is taken care of in advance and allows time to resolve any issues with payment – https://wordpress.com/support/manage-purchases/automatic-renewal/. This was very clearly stated when you made that subscription.

As you have a paid plan, you must simply use the transaction id to restore access to the account thowse charges are made to – https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#verify-your-account-ownership

Bij starting a chargeback, everything gets blocked for at least 0 days and you also have to pay a chargeback fee of 15 USD – https://wordpress.com/support/payment/chargebacks/

    Hello,

As requested, here is the transaction ID for the charge attempt from WordPress:

    – Transaction ID: 517412521179
    – Date: June 25, 2025
    – Amount: 1,440 RUB
    – Card ending in: 8419
    – Description: WORDPRESS 7AP7FJTLYE, IE

I do not have access to the account associated with this charge.
Please use this transaction ID to locate the subscription and cancel it immediately. I also request that you remove my card from your system to prevent any future billing attempts.

    Thank you,
    Karen D
