Unauthorized Transaction

    Hi there,
    I just filed a claim with PayPal because I did not authorize my This Pixie Life account to be upgraded to Premium. I received an email telling me that if I wish to receive my money without a charge from wordpress (20$) that I need to cancel this claim from PayPal and I will be reimbursed directly by you. This, however, is not helpful in terms of helping me protect my identity and finding out what happened. It also sounds a bit suspicious to me. Why would you charge your customers for things they didn’t do? I would like more information on this as soon as possible. I left a message yesterday when the transaction was pending, via phone, and didn’t hear back from anyone. I am, at this point, not pleased with your customer service. I want something besides a form letter for an email back regarding this matter. Thank you.

    I’ve checked your account and I noticed the transaction was made by your own account robindrury.

    If you think your account is compromised, please, change your password immediately and enable Two Step Authentication by following this guide:

    Enable Two-Step Authentication

    About your refund, it would be easier if you cancelled the claim with PayPal, because its process is more bureaucratic.

    Let me know when you cancel it, this way I can refund you directly from WordPress.com.

    OK, thank you. I have done all that you mentioned in your response, and contacted PayPal to cancel the claim. How quickly will I be reimbursed?

    PayPal didn’t close the claim yet, so it can take several days for a refund to appear on your bank statement.
