Unauthorized WordPress.com charge

  Hi,

  I have an unauthorized charge on my credit card for domain mapping (WPCHRG.COM WPCHRG.COM W on April 21 2017), but I didn’t sign up for this service. I looked at my account, trying to cancel whatever was active, and cant see any option to cancel. Can you please refund this and cancel domain mapping immediately? Not happy that I’m being charged for a service that I dont want … and dont remember signing up for.

  Hi there,

  To save you time we can try to determine relevant details such as which upgrade, which site URL and which username account is this about.

  How many username accounts and sites do you have? Maybe you failed to cancel one and disable auto renew.

  Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. Also, if you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.

  Hi,

  I dont know what upgrade this would be… I can’t remember purchasing anything and dont see the confirmation in the email history.

  The username is KateSpringer1.

  When I click on “My Purchases” there is nothing to manage. There is nothing there except an offer to upgrade — so I dont know how to cancel whatever this charge is.

  I have tried using the contact form but havent heard back yet.

  Hi –

  Thank you for getting in touch. It looks like you cancelled the domain mapping upgrade for atlasunplugged.com after the upgrade was renewed on April 21st. Normally, this would automatically trigger a refund.

  I’ve manually processed the $13 refund and these funds should reach you in about ten days.
